RO filters

Hello all so just wondering how often do you replace your sediment carbon block and and Di resin ? This is my sediment filter after six months

I purchased a filter monitor. best 40.00 I ever spent. It's amazing how much water we actually use in a RO/DI system. I am changing prefilters based on volume, not time. My RO/DI is split for drinking water. I was changing the drinking side every 6 months and found out I am able to go 1 year. I am changing the first prefilter more often than I was before the monitor. I also have TDS monitors for the RO membrane and DI resin.

Mine also produces RO drinking water for a family of six. Mine doesn't go 6 months between changes

What I am saying is with the filter monitor, I was able to recognize I was changing the last stage too soon. by actually seeing the number of gallons produced, I now see I can go an entire year. My mom's RO final filter is 3 years. She lives by herself. It all depends on usage. With a filter monitor you can be more accurate.
