RO for Drinking and RO/DI for Acquarium

Does anyone have recommendations for a RO water system which could be used for home drinking water, and then have also a DI option after RO to generate as needed water for a salt water aquarium.

New to the hobby here, and planning a 65g DT, 20g sump, 10g QT.

can't you get any rodi unit and just drink it? I have a portable unit i got for $80 that screws onto any faucet and can be put away when not used. fill some 5 gallon water jugs, one to drink and two or three on hand for WC

Many people do this. You can simply tap off of the RO line and fill some jugs like you do, but many people find it more convenient to have a reservoir with a separate tap.

Bulk Reef Supply has a system here (you need to get a DI stage for this)

Buckeye Field Supply has an add-on RO tank

I believe Spectrapure and the Filter Guys also sell equipment do do what you want.

Can a RO tank be added to a rodi system? Taking the RO instead of going through the DI filters, or switched to go through them when I want to have water for the aquarium.

I just put a y in the line coming off my ro membrane and ran it straight to the sink where we fill up our drinking water. I ran the other side of the y to the di canister.
I don't see why you couldn't do this with any good quality ro system. Mine is from BRS and we are very happy with it.

Put a T after the RO membrane, run one line to the pressure tanks for the drinking water with a check valve inline so the tanks can't back flow. I have two pressure tanks, so when I need to make 80 gallons of water for the tank, I know we still can have drinking and ice water. Mine is hooked up to my fridge, so I get RO water for ice and cold water, and have it running to my sink for cooking, coffee and tea. Been running for two years without any problems.

Get a bypass filter housing for your fridge. Won't need it anymore.

Thanks for the help everyone. Wound up getting the home 5 stage RO system from BRS and added on a DI canister and an inline TDS meter which will read before and after the DI canister. I was thinking of putting the RO under the kitchen sink and then running line to my utility/laundry/future aquarium support room. I could then set up the DI canister there at point of use and I would have gravity on my side as the DT will be on the other side of the wall from the support room in our Family room/bar area. Ups is showing delivery on Wednesday. I will lost pictures when I start working on it. Hopefully later this week.
