I am considering buying one of those RO apartus so i can make my own RO water at home. I know they sell them at the LFS and online. I also see them at Lowes and Home Depot. Whats a great one that works. I usually do 20 to 25 gallon water changes. There are so many out there. What are the qualities one looks for when purchasing an RO machine!

Go with one of the RC sponsors. And would make sure that it is a RO/DI unit, and not just RO.
Whomever you go with, I would suggest getting a unit that uses the 75 gpd Filmtec RO membrane. (( has a better rejection rate, which will allow your DI resin to last longer. )) Also, get one that has a vertical DI, as opposed to horizontal.
