Approximately speaking, you'll get about a 0.2 pH unit drop when your sample warms from 56F to 75F. Also, water setting in a cup is absorbing CO2 from the air, which will also lower the pH.

And yes, there can be some changes in pH over the day's length with municipal systems. The longer the water sets in the pipes, the lower the pH. As the day goes on and the water is flushed because of higher use, the pH can rise.
