ro running after off

just installed a new ro and when its finished filling my container, i can still hear it running, tho no water is coming out of the clean water side
it has a shutoff valve installed.

did you install the shut off or did it come with it.....
the tap water is on one side of the shut off and the clean is on the other....
the way it supposed to work is when clean is shut off it pressurizes and pushes a diaphram and closes the tap

Might not have enough water pressure feeding your filter.

it stopped, guess it needed to build up pressure to activate the shutoff valve..
