RO Unit Question?

Sorry, thought you were looking for one. Misunderstood. How do you want to hook it up? If you have a faucet, you can hook to that. You can use a saddle valve and pierce a copper line. Or you can take pipes apart and make yourself a new tap. The easiest it the faucet. They sell a piece at Home Depot that screws onto the faucet and has a little nipple coming out the side. The RO hooks to that and there's a little button looking thing that switches it on. When the little button thing is pulled out, the RO runs, and when it is pushed in it works like a regular sink.

Here's a photo of what I've done. Added a copper tee to the cold water input of my washing machine. Quarter turn shut off valve, then I managed to find a nifty John Guest type fitting that connects directly to the copper pipe as well as having a valve where I was able to attach a pressure guage. Next is another JG type adapter that slides into the larger fitting and reduces it to the quarter inch RODI system input line. Since I'm in Canada, I got most of these parts at Canadian Tire, but you should be able to round them up at most hardware stores or renovation centers in the USA.

There are different ways to connect to plumbing. Its all how you want to do it. You can get a puncture fitting (which I believe is the same as an ice maker fitting) found at home depot/lowes, or faucet connection, or hose connection, or like show above with copper line with shutoff valve.
