So, I have an RO unit - uh, 3 stage spectrapure RO. Not RO/DI. I have very low nitrates and phosphates, don't overfeed and my water flow is not optimal, but pretty good. I'm about to replace the 3 maxi jet 1200s in my 90 gal tank with a couple of seios which I've been pining for.
My problem is DUHN, DUHN DUHHHHHHN! Cyanobacteria. It's driving me insane.
Finally managed to cure it in my fuge by adding another mj 1200, but i'm still trying to deal with it in the display. It collects right in the back corners and right on a frag I got with two shrooms.
I think it must be a flow issue, but is it possible that it would help matters if I added a DI membrane to my current unit? Which I'm assuming is pretty easy to do - haven't really looked up the ins and outs.
Hope that made sense. Someone remind me never to drink and post at the same time again.
Thanks!
Debbie
