I BOUGHT SOME RO WATER FROM THE LFS AND WHAT I WANNA KNOW IS DOES THE RO UNIT TAKE OUT ALL TRACES OF NITRATES OR JUST BRING DOWN THE TDS OR WHAT EVER IT IS.. I'M NEW TO SALTWATER... ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.. THANKS
RO water shouldn't have any ntrates in it it will bring down the TDS however a rodi system will bring the TDS down to 0 if the filters are maintained. if your wondering on if the water don't have any nitrates in it just test it as the TDS won't tell you if it has any.
[welcome]
Agreed, if you are curious - just test it. RO/DI water should be free of phosphates, silicates, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, etc if all the filters and the membranes used are fresh.
Why do you ask, just curious, or have you been using this source for water and are seeing suspicious algae blooms?
