Next weekend (November 14) there is a BBQ/Frag event being hosted by SWFMAS.
Let's get a small road trip together and make an ORCA showing. It is always fun to get out of our immediate circle see som different frags and mingle with the neighboring clubs. This will be a good one. This annual event has a repuataion of a good time.
Looks like about 140 miles from Downtown Orlando for distance. Sounds like a lot going on in one day and it sounds like there can be some intense social activity judging from some of the comments on their local forums. An overnight stay may be in order, so we will shop out a reasonable local motel accommadation as an option. Let us know if you are interested in being included.
We are planning on going, is there any more interest from ORCA?

Our November meeting will be the annual ACROS BBQ at Brian Greene's house in Nokomis. This is a bring a dish event. Brian will provide ribs,burgers, hot dogs and drinks.
This is an "all club" BBQ. This means that there will be members from the TBRC, ACROS, ORCA, SWFMAS and possibly FMAS at the event. For you newbies, TBRC (Tampa Bay area), ACROS (Sarasota/Bradenton), ORCA (Orlando), SWFMAS (that's us, wake up!!) and FMAS (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach)
Schedule:
2 pm - doors open
330 pm - food
5ish - auction (basically, starts whenever everyone has stuffed themselves!)
130 am - parties over, go home
Auction rules (for selling):
Max 12 corals per person
Max 3 corals per type, per person
75%/25% split
This is not set up for PayPal, so it is a "cash and carry" type auction.
For those that have never been, in a nutshell, 3000 gallon aquaculture facility in a huge garage.
