Is it safe to introduce new butterflyfish (Roaps group, specifically) with one already established in a tank? I have a 150g tank, and am considering future plans as I slowly recover from a crash a year and a half ago.
I currently have a Tinkeri butterflyfish in the tank - and had to remove my Whitecheek tang to keep it from being harassed. Before my tank crashed I had a Burgessi butterfly which was a great fish - but is it safe to add Roaps butterflies one by one?
I've read a lot of conflicting information on how compatible these fish are. It seems to come down to luck in a lot of cases, which I don't think I'm willing to do since there's no friend's tanks for a bullied fish to go.
The Declivis on the Diver's Den is really interesting, and it would be very interesting to have the three "common" Roaps butterflies...
