Robert & Larry's Store ECO REEF AQUARIUM Is Awesome!

I've been frequenting Robert & Larry's store since it first opened. It's amazing the transition it has gone through from a pit of boxes and disrepair to a nicely stocked marine aquarium store. They are doing well with new improvements every time I go in (which is about 2x week).

They just got in a great shipment from ORA that includes Picasso Clowns, Mis Bar Clowns, many different Dottybacks, and some beautiful frags including nice acros. I'll put some pics here just to show a sampling...and oh yes, who can forget, they got the sea horses that will feed on frozen foods...2 different kinds!

Oh, and in case you're not familiar with where it is, it's in Pompano, just east of Federal on Atlantic on the south side. The address is 2740 E. Atlantic Blvd. They are at the east end of the center where the Bealls outlet store is.

I'll post 5 pics at a time, so that I don't max out my post.

Yup, i agree it has been great progress, I loved the picasso clowns, I have never seen some in person and they are truly amazing.
I also liked the coral and fishes, everything looks real healthy.

And I forgot to post the phone number for the store...it is 954-784-3588. Robert & Larry are also great supporters of the club, in case you aren't familiar with them. They also both do aquarium maintenance, so they are always the first I recommend to people who have a need.

Also, they have some kinda special deal going for a basic 20 Gallon tank set up (used). If I recall correctly its: tank, top, light, HOB filter for 39.99. Something like that.
The picasso clowns are really very cool looking.

I agree 100%!!!

Robert and Larry were VERY helpful with me and all my questions and spent as much time with me as i needed. I gladly plunked down over $1000 for the eco-reef sump/fuge system from them last week. Was thrilled to spend the money there rather than some other stores whose owners did NOTHING for me but take my money and not give the services they promised. No names but at least my REEFS arent on EDGE anymore! Thanks Robert and Larry!

Will definitely continue to shop at Eco Reef Aquarium.

No dont tell me that. I thought they were a good store. I guess I need to check out Eco reef.

In the end u spend your money where ever u feel like spending it, bottom line they r all trying to make a living, BTW i've been to the edge store 3 times and all 3 times have had great service and very friendly lady. Never to the eco reef but i will be visiting them soon >
At this stage u should not need as much guidance as u may think and if u do then u need some more research before u head out. IMO

That is very true...I believe that as conscientious aquarists, we need to be educated and not purchase something without knowing about it before entering a store. The sad thing is that we probably know more than many of the employees in alot of these stores. The nice thing is that at Eco Reef, I know both Larry and Robert and I know that they are very knowledgable in this field. As you get to know your LFS better, you can gauge how much they know and if you will get truthful answers from them.

I went there today for the first time and spoke to robert for some time. He is a good guy and I know that I just found my LFS.

Where is Eco Reef Located?
By the way, I just found the Reefs Edge store last week and found the service was great and the care of the livestock was second to none. The lady who helped me was knowledgeable, friendly and to top it all off, pretty attractive.

Yeah, I can't quite say as much for Robert & Larry  .

*********************NEWS ALERT*********************
I have an update also...they just got an awesome shipment in tonight (Wednesday)! Lots of fish (all prices and sizes from tiny damsels to gorgeous clown tangs, fox faces, blennies, gobies, etc. etc.), and some great coral pieces. I saw some torch, trumpet, plate, open brain, frogspawn, zoos, anemones, etc. etc. etc. Super nice colors and good display size pieces. I highly recommend heading over there if you're in the market for such goodies.
