I got water from the ocean, i cleand them out and baked them at 400 Degrees to kill of bacteria, Will that be a problem to setup my tank with.

well i was told that you have to bake them to kill of and bacteria becuase it will be unstable in and aquarium, and as far as illegal i dont know, i mean i got them right off the shore with plenty and life guards and even some police and know said a thing, i think that it is in the tortuga reef reserve where you can not touch,

but anyways what do you think, will it work out

Well if it was baked it is dead and you will need to add some live rock and live sand to the tank inorder to make it beneficial again I wouldn't have baked it.

you cant touch anything without a license..........
you shouldnt of baked it. you will probably have to seed it again.

If you picked it up from the beach then baking it was probably the best thing you could have done, most public beaches have ridiculous amounts of pollution

You will still need to add something alive in order to make that rock alive and yes you will have a cycle, if the rock was baked to get rid of pollution I wouldn't think that would work I would think it still would leach out of the rock. All new tanks will cycle regardless if you use fully cured or dead rock it has to cycle to get the beneficial bacteria thriving.
