Rockford area reef club

Not sure when the next one will be. I guess we will decide at the this one. Since you can't make the 1st meeting, what is your vote on how often to get together, monthly, every 6 weeks, every other month?
Tell the wife happy birthday from us!
 
I would vote monthly, on the two week period opposite CMAS meetings in case people attend both. I am willing to help with the club, other than next weekend. :D

Hey Rob I just tried to get directions and I couldn't. I tried Yahoo, Mapquest, and Rand Mcnally. Maybe you should post some directions from some major roads and the rest of us can take it from there.
 
Ok good call BenjieC. I'm in a new subdivision off of Whiting Rd which intersects with RT 76. You can see the house from 76. It's a gray 2 story with a purple door. This subdivsion is across 76 from Candlewick Lake for those who know where that is. From Rockford it's best to take State St into Belvidere, hang a left by Jack Wolf car lot, another left on 76 by the Boone County Fair grounds. Take that to the 1st right after the Marathon gas station, just pass a bunch of tall ever greens. That is Whiting rd. The 1st left is Wild Flower take that and it comes to a T on Queenann's and my drive. Coming from 173 on 76 just take a left on Whiting.

I tried finding my house on all the sites and can't. I must not exisit. If you use "Whiting Rd Poplar Grove IL 61065" as your end location it will give you the intersection of 76 and Whiting. You can see my house from there. Grey 2 story with black shutters and a purple door.
 
Just a few hours away. Unfortunatly my 220 still has no water. Ho well in due time. There is now a simi truck at the corner of Whiting and 76. It says NEW HOMES bla bla bla. Can't miss it. See ya all soon!
 
How did the meeting go? My family had an excellent time at Six Flags for my wife's birthday; the park was almost empty! :D

It went real well, I think. We had 10 show, couple of which brought frags so there was a little trading going on. Mostly just chatted getting to know one another. It lasted a couple hours. Our next meeting will be August 12th at Andrew's house. He does a lot of photography so that's the topic. He is going to help us figure picture taking out, make us all pro's. I also have contacted RC to get a forum for ourselfs.
Glad the wife's birthday was fun for the family, hope to meet you at the next one
 
I had to miss the meeting b/c I was paged and had to go into work. Freak'in job interfering w/ my hobby how dare it! I'll definitely try to make the next meeting.

I do not even know if I want to know the answer, but why does a worm store owner get paged and what could the page be about? "Hey, we are out of nightcrawlers, go dig quick!"

BTW, in case you had not heard, A Splash of Life is having a going out of business sale next weekend. Anyone else in the Rockford area want to carpool next Saturday? I volunteer to drive in my Accord, it can seat up to 3 more, as long as you are 6' or less.

My occupation goes w/ my quote. I'm actually a Nuclear Pharmacist. The fact that I have a pager was one of the reasons I really want a club in Rockford, so I can go to meetings and still be w/in pager distance. I must stay w/in 30 min of Rockford, although I have been known to go to Rod's on occation. He's 35-40 min away, but ssshhhh! don't tell anyone.;)

I'm in. Do you know his hours for it yet? I might make you ride with me though. I'm 6'1". Or if we get enough people I do have a vans.
