Rodi Flow Rate

Are the flow rate and efficiency both increased when the water temperature going through the filters is decreased? I am on well water and my water is normally 007 ppm in and 001 out, tonight is cold outside, going down to 10 degrees and the meter is reading 006 in and 000 out. There is also a greater stream out.

I have noticed a lower output in my rodi system since the weather has gotton colder. In the summer I was 1.0g an hour. Now, I 'am 1.7g an hour.

I think I remember reading that the rodi is affected by the wateer temp but not for sure. Just wonder if any others notice this also.

I don't know how temp is supposed to affect it in regards to its ability to purify, but I do know that most of the RO membranes flow specs are rated @ 76 F and that their output is supposed to drop as the water temp drops.

Thanks, it seems to be working fine, the filters are only 6mo. old so ... it just seems to be working a little better.
