Well, looks like I feel like putting more effort into my tank again at the new house. I am looking for an RO (mayby DI too) but want simple.

1) I need to have it connect via a garden house type faucet
2) Price is very important

Where we all getting ours now days?

Ben - the fitting you're looking for to connect at a garden hose bib is called a "Hose Bib Adapter." It takes you from garden hose threads to a 1/4" quick connect fitting.

purewaterclub.com is who i have always used. Always been happy, they offer traditional and portable. Some have dual outputs, one RO and one DI. The last one i bought was that ,added a pressure tank and ran the line right to the fridge. ice cubes were crystal clear and the water tasted great. then the DI line ran over to my tanks.

not sure on your price range but they offer a fairly wide range. Always found them to be the best bang for your buck. Plus you can also get the adapter through them. This is just my experience however.

I got mine from the filter guys a while back and have continued to get supplies from them as needed. Top notch customer service, good prices, etc. I'd definitely recommend them.

I've been using a purwaterclub.com 5 stage unit for about five years. Never had an issue with it. All my replacement filters come from BRS and work perfectly.

How good is the purewaterclub.com? Im looking at their 6 stage unit for 105. Seems awfully cheap compared to BRS and Spectapure

I'm biting my tongue re those systems. I won't say it, I won't say it...

Here are some things to look for:

Standard-sized prefilters, membrane, and DI cartridge
Brand name, high-rejection membrane
Specifications provided for each stage
Pressure gauge after the prefilters and before the membrane
Thermometer
TDS meter (handheld or in-line)
Vertical DI stage
Refillable DI cartridge
Rust-proof bracket
Quick connect fittings
No water from pressurized storage container delivered to DI
Flush valve
Clear housings
High-quality instructions written in clear English
Customer support before, during, and after your purchase
A vendor involved in your hobby

Honestly i loved them. My cousin had one, and convinced me to buy one. I've never had any leaks, the whole unit is fairly solid. If its the traditional one, the bracket has slots to mount the unit, the metal seems really durable, 2 years and nothing has moved. Not sure how the waste to RODI ratio is compared to others, but it seemed to be decent.
