rodi pressure gauge

I bought the gauge and dual inline tds meter, but I do not know exactly where to place them. The dual tds has an in and an out. I am assuming the in is right after the membrane, and the out goes directly after the di. As for the gauge, I am not sure. Can someone help pls?

Pressure gauge should go before anything.
TDS meter should be before and after the DI, this lets you keep an eye on the tds coming out of the membrane and whats coming out of the DI( should be 0), this way is ether number increases you know its time to change something.

i think its about 60. I just found out that my freakin pressure is only around 25 !!!! thats been my problem all along :( well water sucks lol

yeah im going to have to buy one! to much invested in it now lol. The bad thing is, I hooked up the dual tds meter on the system, and I was getting 5 after membrane and zero after the di; I have had a handheld one that said I was getting nearly 7 after the di. I matched the handheld against distilled water, and I got zero tds. Idk if I got faulty, brand new inline meters, or my handheld has been off all along.

I find that it's more useful to have the pressure gauge after the prefilters... this way you know if they're ready to be replaced, and it gives you an idea of how efficient your RO membrane is going to be.

That's where mine is. The most efficient pressure is actually about 80-90 psi (can't remember exactly). But without a pump, it will be about 50-60. Below that, it is not so great. I was having problems with my pressure. I bought a pump and love it.

This might vary by manufacturer, but the ideal pressure on a EXTREME TYPHOON III RODI is 60-75PSI. I would recomend looking to see what the manufacturer of your RODI units says is best.
