I have a BRS 5 stage 75gpd rodi system, just got my booster pump set up... my question is how much pressure is too much? the minimum i can get the pump to do is 70psi. is there any disadvantage to running it higher?
i dont think the units have problems, but i think the clear housing are rated at like 125 or 150 which you shouldnt exceed or you will blow out the housings.
but 100 isnt a problem for operation pressure.

This is a perfect example of why I cringe everytime I hear someone say the only difference in brands of RODI systems is the filers. NOT TRUE!!!
For example, there is a very widely used brand of clear housings where the wholesaler indicates they should not be used over 60 psi, and the clear sumps should be changed annually. Again - this is a brand of housings that is used on many many systems out there.
There are other clear housings which are of better construction and have a 125 psi limit. As a consumer you'll have no idea which brand is used on your system. Solution: be careful about the RODI vendor you use!
