RODI reading 1 tds coming out new filters

I have a brs 4 stage RODI. Just changed all filters, including RO membrane. I have made 7 gallons of water and it's at 1 tds. How long should it take before it goes down to 0? I have the system hooked up at a hose coming right off the water main to my house in the basement . Pressure seems strong but my pressure gauge is reading 0- leading me to believe it's broken.

Is it possible that the inline tds meter is off? The RODI system sat dry for about 18 months while I was gathering equipment for my build.

Depends what your input TDS is. I typically flush carbon filters for 15 min before running through membrane to avoid clogging with carbon dust. Then I would say you want to run a few gallons through before capturing any water for use. What are you seeing for TDS going into your DI?

It's reading the same -1ppm after the membrane, 1ppm after DI. I purchased this second hand.

Have you turned the valve to flush the filters? Sometimes when my unit sits for a few days it'll read 1tds till I flush it.

Yes a few times. I know some tds
Meters need to be calibrated, can this be done with in-line style tds meters

If that's the case I would guess the DI is not packed well enough or spent. Did you say the media was new?

The DI cartridge wasn't seated properly in the canister. My guess is that the water was going right by it. I corrected it and I am now getting 0tds
