Ok I have my system all hooked up. I have a float on the line that clean water comes out after it goes thru the system. I also have a drain line as well. Question is when does water stop coming out? The good water stops due to the float but the bad water just keeps running?

you need an automatic shut off valve which will make it all stop.

i have the drain line running into a floor drain, thats were i need a shut off valve?

^ This.... It goes between the inlet water line and the clean outlet water line. Shuts off the supply water when there is back-pressure from the float valve.

The waste water can take about 15 minutes to stop. As long as you have two things working you should be fine:

1) Shut off valve (thing with 4 connections)
2) Inline Check valve (mine is built into the BRS system I bought and looks like an elbow)

The thing on the left is the check valve - the thing on the right is the shutoff valve. (Hose going in and out of).
