RODI wastewater routing

I have a system that I want to install in a utility room. My laundry sink is in another room and that is where I want to route the waste water to. My question is this: Is there enough pressure in the waste water line for a run of about 30 feet and it has to travel half way up the wall to the ceiling and out to the other room? ( line will be hidden in a drop ceiling).

You should be fine. But double check the waste water to permeate ratio to be sure(measure the product water and the waste/flush water in gallons)

I would not try it like that unless you put some kind of check valve right after the RO unit and even then that is risky. It won't pump all the waste water all the way up the wall to make it go all the way out. There will still be some trapped in the pipe going up. If it sits too long it can go stagnant really fast and also you don't want it leaking back in your membranes. I would just hook up your RO above the utility sink and do it that way.

I run mine up a wall, to the ceiling, about another 17' straight, curves 90 degrees, then 3 more feet, then drops down 4 feet, into loop up, into my laundry drain. Perfect water all the time.

Thanks Bluefish9. Glad to hear about someone that has done it whether it worked or not!

RODI wastewater routing

How can fresh water go stagnant? It's like basically letting your tap water sit which wouldn't go bad. I would think the only thing that would stop you is low pressure not being able to overcome the head pressure of the waste water line?

That was my only worry. Head pressure was the biggest question mark to me.

Follow up to the install..... the setup is running perfectly. The waste line is run up the wall about 2.5 ft then across to the other room and into the washer wastewater pipe. No issues what so ever with the wastewater overcoming the head pressure of the rise.

Organ donation works....just ask me.

This is waste water correct? So can the filtered water make a run like this? Jy laundry room/ utility sink is upstairs. I would have to run my rodi line up to attic several feet across attic then hopefully down into garage. Will that work?
