Rodi

Either would be fine. I have delt with BRS with good results and have known Marc, (melev), for a few years. Both will work well with the after purchase things also. You want a good TDS meter also. Another good thing to know is the pressure of your incomming water supply. I also take for granted you have a city water supply. If you use a well speak to either as this may make a change to what you need.

Well water. :sad2:

Do you know what your pressure is? Speak to one of the guys at one of the sponsors that sell them. Your prefilters may need to be different. You may need a booster pump depending on what your pressure is. It's still a very workable situation.

I bought mine off ebay, and get TDS readings of 1 or 0 as long as I maintain the filters. As noted though, you may need a booster to get everything how it should be, so I'd definitely look into that, and in that case, it would be much better to have someone you could call and talk to.

I went with thefilterguys and love mine 5Stage. I have city water and still had to buy a booster. I am about to buy an additional membrane to help with the waste water which is about 6:1! now.

OCEAN REEF + 1 FIVE STAGE 75 GPD RO/DI

I got my RODI on ebay with a pressure pump and TDS meter...5 stage 100gpd....waste is about 3:1, It's hooked up to the frig and faucet on the kitchen sink too. (Wife realy likes it) hint...hint..

I have the spectra pure 180 gpd system. Works great. Little more expensive than the others. Appx $400 at Marine Depot. Waste is 4:1. They do make a 1:1 ratio but is appx $1000. I called my local water authority and found out cost of water and sewage. It would take me appx 20,000 gallons to make up the cost difference of $600.

Comes with dual TDS Meters and pressure guage.

got mine from E-bay for $109. The company was out of Canada. I don't think they are on E-bay anymore though. I've had it for 7 years and have only had to change filters to keep TDS at 1-0. I believe you can find suggestions on E-bay vendors with a search and save a LOT of money. Have it on a timer with a selunoid to add directly to the tank so I didn't get the holding tank.

Make sure what ever you get has a vertical DI cartridge as they will not channel water.

I got a water general off of ebay and probably saved $40, but wish I would have bought a better one right away. I ended up spending more money updating it to a vertical di and pressure gauge etc. The ones from melev and BRS will all have the John Guest push fittings instead of screw on fittings for the hose connections.

The Ebay one I got has 2 DI chambers. I run one horizontal, and one vertical. It also has an inline pressure gauge. I think it was like $140.
