their bellys looked thin yesterday so i cooked them up a ton of baby brine shrimp and they ate and ate and ate and loook very good their bellys are very full i will now start another baby brine culture the little one is so small i think she is not really ready for too much preparred pellets and such these lil clowns are such a delight they were worth every penny just to get lil clowns that you dont have to wonder whether they will be ugly as adults i added more rock to the tank looks a lil better i dont know how much i really need i have lots of sand also got some algae in the lil in tank refugium i built just something to hold me over till i get a skimmer free from my 50 gallon

ok i have a question how long does it take for lil clown like this to host i have a baseball sized frogspawn in the tank with them i am hoping they will host it do lil clowns take more time also since these guys are captive bred will they take longer than normal my goldstripes host in anemones very redily im asking all this because if they will host a bta faster than a frogspawn i will get them a lil Buble tip

anyone have suggestions

10 min in their new home and they took right to it.
1 year later and they are all grown up. I have had to frag the frogspawn so now there are two in the tank. they cant make up their minds which one they want to host in now.[

You just can't make them host anything. My percs have never went into anything, I even had a RBTA in with them for awhile.

one person says 10 minutes one person says never so i am still lost im hopefully going to give them the choice beetween a small rbta the frogspawn and the toadstool that is with them i

Only the fish can decide, and they're not telling us. :D My ocellaris took a few weeks, and my percs are homeless so to speak.

if i do my best to give them options at some point they will not want to sleep in a different spot every night

I picked up one yesterday at Rods :)

They are very nice... so far my much older true perc is getting along great with him.

Well I've had mine well over a year and at night they just stop swimming and float up in the corner like they are dead. :D Swim around fine during the day. If they ever die, I might not even notice.

the first night they slept on the sand and now they are sleeping aat the top do yours sleep together mine do

Pretty much as they float with the current. The corner of the tank is all that stops them.

Rods onyx seem to host pretty easy. Mine took to hosting an SPS the first night, it even tried to feed it. When I put my frogspawn in it took it about 2 days I believe to find it and about 1 week to start sleeping in it.

Took my WC about 3 months I believe to sleep with her boyfriend in the frogspawn.

well we all have different experiences they do hang out near the frogspawn i hope they move in i just got a ton of cheato for my intank fuge its full of worms pods and stars thanks to ITZME for taking the hawkfish off my hands and giving me the cheato need a light for my aquaclear/fuge more pics coming soon

debi

juv. clowns often do that if they do not host. its perfectly ok.

many adult clowns do it also, but i find its more prev. in juvs.
