rods food and seahorses

I tried to... the only thing it got me was a nitrate problem. Rods is primarly a "Complete reef food in one" including all of the things seahorses wont eat. I might of been over feeding them because of there pickiness about eating any of the stuff.

Then again, my tank is only seahorses, pipe fish, and a ton of snails, and crabs.

Just my opinion.

any one else?

The only think i ever got my seahorses to eat was mysis shrimp. That was a few years ago but i am looking at starting up another tank.

is mysis a good staple food for the S/H then? what else should I try to feed them?

Absolutely - frozen enriched brine shrimp is also beneficial. I've heard of daphnia being offered but mine never went for it.

daphnia is pretty small for a seahorse food.

It is very hard to enrich frozen brine. Live brine is a bit easier as you can feed them the vitamins and then feed the seahorses the brine, but soaking the frozen brine is enrichment just leads to the enrichment being washed off when you put the food in the water.
