Matt, I had deprioritized the mesh top since we don't yet have any fairy wrasses or other known "jumpers". But we are looking to buy some sooner than later so I am hoping to have the top built either this weekend or the next. We still plan to move ahead with using the casting net
hey sparkss,
thanks for the link. so where are you getting this casting net? any local suppliers?
i want to build one for my tank as well. And it was great meeting you. goodluck with your new tank
hey snabbs if you want to build a tank you can go to tap plastic they are pretty good in price. i was thinking about it a while back and found a local vendor that you can buy at way cheaper arcrylic but has to have a wholesale license or tap is about 2x more expensive but the other store won't cut it either. My vendor who ordered rod food also have a custom tank builder so if you want to contact my vendor he can order one for you. about maybe $100 dollars more or less difference i found if i had him build than if i build it my self. the best thing is if he messes up he will replace and i mess up. i will be spend more or break even. An expensive lesson I've learned.
