Rod's Food

Thousands of people use it. I have used it for a long time and find that it has the ingredients to feed almost everything in the tank from corals to fish.

Yep +1.

I just started using this a few weeks ago, I use it like every third feeding.
The fish and my shrimp seem to love it. Smells like he77 tho lol...but I guess that is suppose to be a good thing.

my entire tank springs to life the moment this food touches the water. no lie. my blenny takes it right from my hand

I use 3 different types of it (( Red, green and blue labels )) all my fish love it, and it seems to be the only food that my small female potter will eat --- she is a bit picky.

I usually fed twice a day (( sometimes 3 times on the weekends )) and use it about 1.5 times, switch off with other frozen food.

Definitely good food! My fish love the stuff. I've been using it for about a year and a half now.

this stuff is so expensive. $11 for 2 oz. of food? Is that a joke?!!!!!

I pay $20 for 6 oz for mine, not sure where you saw that price.

And that 6 oz lasts a very long time, I just picked up some new ones, and will will try to see how long it lasts, but I would guess each flat last me about 1.5 - 2 months, and I have 3 tanks.

Rods Food.....:dance::dance::dance:

Same as Todd, around here its only around $20.00 for the 6 oz flat.

They are located in DeKalb, IL. Thats right by us in the Chicagoland area. I'm not sure if that makes a difference in the cost.

DeKalb, the home of barbed wire, Cindy Crawford and Rod's food.

But, excluding shipping, Premium has it for the same price that we (( people in Chicagoland )) pay for it.

Yes, it is almost irresistible. Good nutrition. I feed it periodically among other foods.

Me too. But sadly my fish with eat about two mouthfuls when it's in the water.

They go nuts, initially, as it hits the water, but for some reason they get "freaked out" by it, or something. I'm going to continue trying.

Do you think if I cut back on pellets to 0 feeding, and just tried Rod's every 2-3 days, you think they'll eventually learn to start eating more of it?

Everything else in my tank is happy when I feed Rod's though.

I'm pretty sure that Rod's Food is price controlled, so its usually just a universal price everywhere you go. That said, I think its a fantastic food that can feed nearly everything in the tank at once, from fish to corals.

It SHOULD be, however if a LFS know's there's no other carriers of the stuff, I'm sure they could price gouge a few more bucks.

Luckily, the one I get mine from, sells me quarter slabs at a a time. Because I run a nano, and a full 6oz would last me probably 6 months, or more. And often they just toss it in the bag, since I'm a regular customer. :)
