I have had my Rods Onyx Clowns for about 1 year now and i have had capets and bubble tip anemones in the tank with them and no luck trying to get them to host. anyone have suggestion on what i could do to try to make them host in an anemone

you could always place a picture in front of the tank of a pair of clowns.

At night you can use a flashlight to point them towards the anemone.

Read my post a little below this, 9 months....clowns still wont associate. It shows a very similar situation, although I never had them with a carpet nem (is your a true carpet or a haddoni, big difference for the clowns)

I would advise the same thing that worked for me. Watch the videos, the bond took seriously less than 30 minutes from the time the anemone hit the rock till the female Onyx was in it.

Very good looking fish, I got lucky enough to get my onyx true percula as a wild caught.... its coloration is as good as any of the "rods" I have seen. Now my hope is it breeds with the Black false perc it has paired with.... fingers crossed.

Thank you, i saw your video on your other post and you got a nice looking pair of clowns as well, my buddy owns a local fish store and he need help for couple hours one weekend and i got those for free i was pretty pumped about getting them for free
