i heard rod is starting to breed them again but was wondering can you buy them straight from rod still or do you have to buy them from a diff. store?

i couldn't find them under the livestock list. are they somewhere else or labeled differently?

humm, you're right, i don't see them there anymore.

Sorry, they were there a couple of months ago when I was looking to buying but found them locally from someone.

I do belive that Rod hasent bred for a bit now.I remember 3-4~ months ago PA was selling the last batch of them on their site.Whoever told you he was breeding again may be right, but I havent heard anything.

Not only that, but the OP was looking for "Rod's". Onyx clownfish are not that difficult to find that you need to go through a poorly reputable company. While Rod is not breeding, there are plenty of other sources.

thanks all, I can't remember where I read about rod starting to breed again but could have swore I heard it lol.

I have seen the ones on aquacon but I forbid to order from there, and Rod's have been a proven color that I love.

if you do look up rods onyx for sale PA does come up but when you look on the site I don't see them. I will contact PA and see.

I lucked out and got a percula at an LFS with a lot of black. It looks onyx, but isn't as filled out as i want it to be.

what's the bad rep with aquacon? just curious...

well this was the answer I got.

Hi,

We do not have any at this time, I apologize. We are working on getting some more in, although it could be a few months until we see them.

Thanks,
Jeremy

i was told that Rod has several clowns avail, he just does not want to mess with shipping. there is a store north of me that used to get them in on a regular basis. he goes there to pick them up him self. i have been thinking about making the drive myself. you could try to see if any of the local stores in Chicago caries them and if they would be able to ship.
