Rods Reef Food

I just ordered some of the infamous Rods Reef frozen gold for my reef. Anyone else use it and how does it work?

Thanks

It is by far, the best food I've ever used. Back when I used to feed other frozen foods (formula 1 and 2) my fish used to be scared of me whenever I put my hands in the tank, now that I feed Rod's Food, the fish come hang out by my hands every time I put them in the tank (probably because they are making the connection of me=Rod's Food). This can be bad though, as my Rabbitfish (venomous) likes to brush against my arm constantly whenever I'm in the tank now.

Feed Rod's Food and it's as if you fish go from "pets" to "your new best friends" :)

i use it and my fish love it. i usually take a knife and cut pieces that are one serving then keep frozen instead of having to take out the whole package every day and break off a piece.
then i will float a piece of it in a cup full of tank water or ro and let it melt. and use a baster to feed over a few minutes.

my fish go psycho. they are in such a frenzy that i am afraid one day they are going to crash into each other while going after the food. btw the green leather i bought from you is doing well and getting big.

I just bought some a few weeks ago and my fish go nuts for it also my clown fish will swim into my hand where I can hold them.

This food must be fish crack!!!!

Yeah, I now feed a chunk and kinda keep it pinched with my thumb and middle finger in towards my palm so they have to swim into my hand, and i've started moving my hand around while doing that so they don't get scared when my hand is moving in the tank, it is kinda freaky though when you got the ol' rabbitfish in your hand...i think the funniest thing is just watching everything go nuts, hermit crabs leaping off the rocks, sally snatching everything up in site, corals snatching up chunks of food, shrimps climbing on you for more....they are greedy! lol
As far as feeding, some people hold a chunk in the water and let the powerheads blow the food around, or you can let it sit in some water and use a baster.
Aiko used to chew it up and feed with his mouth, but he got stung by a rabbitfish, so i would not recommend that.

I guess I don't have too much to add to this. Everything in my tank loves it.

At a meeting at Rod's Reef for CMAS my raffle ticket was chosen first and having already been a customer I chose Rod's food over a surge tank and several other goodies.

It is awesome. I used to make a blender mash similar but not nearly as good. It's worth twice what we're paying for it but don't tell Rod that. Well actually you could tell him that because he's such a great guy he'd only up the price if his costs went up.

im more jealous of the fact you can go into Rods and hand pick clowns

If you like fat, happy, healthy fish and corals it's alright..... :)

Craftytony snorts the stuff and Moon Jelly main lines it. Their tank is lucky if it sees any......

Great stuff, I can't say enough great things about it....!!!!!!

lol i just feed it a minute ago and my potters angel goes nuts it funny to watch

I have my RRF in a bowl of water right now getting ready..
I have trained my sun coral to come out and feed in the light and it stay open and bright for hours after.I need to try holding some in my hands to see if they will feed from them.
