Roger,

I am building a 600 gallon reef aquarium and I am looking for suggestions on equipment. My main pump will be a barracuda and I will have a OM-4 with another barracuda for a CL. I have the tunze display pumps narrowed down to (4) 6301's or (6) 6201's. Is the 6301 able to be controlled the same as the 6201? I want to run the pumps with a ACIII Pro. I will want to keep some fish that are under 4" in the tank and notice you suggest against it. I guess my main question is will (6) 6201's be enough flow once the tank is fully grown out or will I need more like (8) 6201's? The tank will be SPS dominated, but will have some LPS and softies as well...Something like a 75/25 mix. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

David

The 6310 is controllable, the flow is a 12ft by 30" jet. The openings are wider on the 6301 so fish are more at risk for being sucked in. What are the tank dimensions.

I think 2 6301 or 4 6201's would be the place to start, personally I would lean to the 6201's for safety of the fish and redundancy in case of a pump failure.
