New 9015 came today.

I set it up to sit in sump. It is sitting in inches of water in sump.

Plugged it in. I am not getting water up the clear "neck" of collection cup and no water is coming out of the blue foam pipe? The water is about 1-2 inches below the end of the blue foam pipe and 1-2 inches below the top of the unit. In other words, the water (in the unit) is above the sump water line but below the top of the skimmer? Is this normal?

Please advise

Water should be coming out of the pipe. If it is not something is hooked up wrong. The usual cause is the bottom cover is on backwards or not on all the way- bevelled side forward. Or, the coupler is not snuggly in place on the intake of the pump under the front intake screen. It can take a while for foam to rise. I would just open the screw 7 turns and wait. But you do need to get it to where water exits the pipe.

Roger,

First, thank you for your quick reply. You are one of the reasons I picked Tunze.

You were right. I did not have the bottom cover on correctly. All seems well. Thank you so much.

Can I cover the hole on the back? The one that spills water. If so, how should I seal it?

Thanks again

Thanks! You can cover the hole but I don't recommend it because the water exits the pipe faster and produces more microbubbles as a result. The other problem is that it becomes more tempermental to the water level, you can't have the water up as high.
