Roger, Tunze 6100 Problem

Roger,

I came home to find my almost new Tunze 6100 in alarm. I unplugged the pump and checked everything out. I found there was an obstruction in the impeller well. I don't know how the internals of the Tunze work but it looks like something internally got jammed and tried to protrude through the impeller well. I guess the best thing to do is post some pictures.

There was a bad batch of motors a while back that caused this symptom and a few pumps made it out with it if memory servers me, this pump likely was from this group.

This really stinks. I almost got the live in my new 215 cycled. The tunze was my only powerhead until I transfered my 58 over. Then I would have had two tunzes.

What is going to happen to the liverock without the water circulation?

Will be ok for a little while. Do you have a friend or anyone in a local club you can borrow a simple powerhead or two from in the mean time from thier "box of fish stuff in the closet". Roger will get you taken care of very quickly though when he returns on Monday

Send me the pump and we will get the motor replaced for you, since you are in Florida the whole process should be pretty quick as we are in Texas, no more than 8 business days total if you ship it to me UPS ground which is how we ship them back as well.

I think I found the address

305 Victor St.
Austin, TX 78753

Do I need to do anything special put a note or to anyones attention?

Thanks,
Jason
