Rookie Mistake...

Had a friend of mine get in his new pendant lights and he called me and asked if they were supposed to smell bad, like burning when he fired them up...

I told him no and then went through the list with him and it turns out the reflectors were shipped with a blue plastic coating on them that he failed to take off....

He said he cant peel it off either b/c it is cooked on now...

Anyone had this happen or know of a way to get it off?

First thing I would try is a heat gun. If that does not work, I would try some goof off. If that didn't work and they are stainless, I would test a small spot with easy off over cleaner. Easy off will remove just about anything but if left on too long, will also eat the metal.
