Rose BTA question

ECU stew

I have a friend who aquired a tank with two RBTA's that are very large (8-10 inches not including tenticle length which reside on the same large piece of rock(both very well anchored). The previous owner said that one of the anemones split 5 times over the course of 2 years. I know that splitting is asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction of anemones is rare in captivity(raising the spawn atleast). He would like for the anemone to be encouraged to split (as long as it is healthy). Would moving one anemone to another tank cause the second one to stop splitting, or would it encourage the remaining to split more? No effect at all maybe(My vote is here, but I'm biased because I want one of those anemones)? Thank you for your responses.

Some splitting is stress induced which can be triggered by the move. Tank conditions will also affect how often they split.
