Rose bulb anemone

I was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints as to getting an anemone to grow faster....

I have has a rose bulb anemone for a while now that is being hosted by a maroon clown. I bought it from the pet store it was a decent size abt 5 inches in diameter. When I introduced it to the tank it lached onto a rock close to my kenyan tree coral (which is pretty big). After a week or so it split, I think it was due to stress because my powerhead kept sliding down the glass and blowing water directly on it. The clown now hosts both anemone's, but they really havent grown at all i feed them silversides and krill along with the plankton i put in the tank three times a week. Is there any thing i can do to make them grow more rapidly? Do you think that the kenyan tree coral is harming it, and if so...is there any way to get it off the rock now that it hasnt roamed at all?

A few things... I think you mean a rose bubble tip anemone (RBTA)? Also, it's the anemone that hosts the clown, not vice versa. Just technicalities...

As for how to make it grow well... are the two eating well since they split? Do they readily take the silversides & krill, in other words, how "sticky" are the tentacles? This is a good indication of health, as well as the coloration (are they bleaching, or getting paler?). Anemones usually take a little bit of time to recover after both moving to a new environment and also splitting, which takes some energy. The kenyan tree won't harm them, more likely the other way around if they are touching. Sometimes something that can add to the stress is if you have an overzealous clown that pesters a small anemone, and since both are smaller since the split, this might be a consideration (my maroon was very aggressively trying to "snuggle" into my RBTA when I first got it, had to put a strawberry crate over it initially). As far as moving it, this is really tough, and I wouldn't try it unless you are moving it to another tank. Even if you pulled it off a rock and put it in a different place (not recommended), it would find its way to the place it prefers eventually.

its looks alright

its looks alright

the two small rbta's have good color and the shape seems healthy. They are pretty sticky when i feed them but i think you may have a point with the clown being agressive because mine can get quite flustered. But usually he only gets that way when another fish comes around (like he's protecting it). Also I dont pay total attention when i feed the rbta's some of the other fish might take the food away from the anemone for themselves. but thanks for the advice.
