Royal gramma bad idea

These guys are difficult to take picture of. I snap one with my phone that show the dimorphism of RA. The larger one , look smaller here because he is far away is the male and the other is one of the females.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. It's hard to believe in 14 years I've never had a royal gramma.
I just added my 1st Royal Gramma earlier this year. My 1st in about 10yrs and it's w gobies, Blenny, wrasses... so beautiful, definitely taken for granted.

Very first fish I added to my tank. He lives with two fairies (Lineatus and pink margin), one flasher and two Halichoeres without problems. Love it when he opens his mouth wide open when someone comes near his hidey hole.

ime, 2 always led to 1 being killed..
lol, they can be viscous lil things...with the biggest mouths ever!

I always have a harem in my tank. Male will kill each other, and RG will turn into male very quickly if by themself.
Other than male on male, they never cause any problem in my tank. They are all bark with no bite.

All RG at LFS that in tank by themself should stay by themself. I estimated that they turn male as little as 4 days (maybe even less) by themselves. If you want a harem, you should have the LFS order 6 for you and put them together throughout. You will not have problem.

If you buy one here one there, they will kill each other because you put males together. I had two males in my 450 g tank and end up with just 1 male in 3 days. The problem was my male got old aget 5 years or so. He cannot excert his dominant. The largest female turn male and kill him in a few days.
