Hello.
20 gallon tank with 18 lbs of live rock. Penguin filter with biowheel removed...eshopps nano skimmer... two small powerheads. 3 month old tank. Ocellaris clown in tank for two months. Royal gramma and yellow clown goby in for 2 weeks. Ph 8.3 nitrite 0 ammonia 0 nitrate 15 phosphate <.25. Some coral frags and 10 snails.
Been battling the nitrates I think I'm overfeeding a sun coral. Weekly 3 gallon water changes. Upped it to 5 gallons last week.
The royal gramma occasionally head butts the side of the tank wall. It eats well and I don't notice any other strange behaviors.
Has anyone encountered this sort of thing? Is he stressed and trying to get out? Or sick? Or just hasn't grasped the tank wall concept yet?
Thanks for any help....
