There are 2 kinds of Royal Gramma. I have this one too--it is a Brazilian Royal Gramma. It is meaner then most Dotty Backs!!!

The Loreto is a lot less mean--and more colorful in IMO.

I too have a very mean Yellow tank.. He is KING of my 100gal.

How big is your yellow (my yellow is about 4+ inches and almost 4 years old)??

Hes only 2'' or so and Ive had him for a month or so.

He will be a cool fish!! My Brazilian is almost 3inch, and have had him for almost 2 years now. The Brazilian is less colorful, but more hardy IMO.

Good Luck with him.

I was worried he would pick on my little 1'' clownfish but he doesn't bother them one bit. The only time he does get moving and could start to be aggressive would be when I drop food into the tank.

I just got one a couple of days ago and he is aweome. His best friend is my percula and he protects him from the evil damsel in the tank :D

i think what happend was i went and deleated all the pics out of my album and it erased it i guess.

hope this one works sorry

Yeah that must be it. If you deleat your pic out of your album in photobucket it erases your pics in your posts i guess.

I had a royal gramma for about a year and then randomly one day it wasn't there. If found it the next day behind the tank, dried up. Nice fish to have though.

I love these fish, but for some reason my tank has always been a deathtrap for them. My first one never ate very well & wasted away. 3 others may have died when my hydrometer started lying about my SPG, causing me to create (almost!) the Dead Sea Reef.
Anyway, 2 lasted for awhile, until the salinity crisis. I love this fish, I may try again, but only if certain conditions can be met. I refuse to kill another fish!
