Royal Grammas' hate me. what disease is this?

Or maybe i'm over cautious.


So long story short...

i bought a RG online, and it ended up DOA. I bought a different fish that also wound up DOA, and later on, ended up being sent a replacement RG that, again was DOA.


talk about bad luck...


anyways, i go to the local fish store, and pick up an RG (reluctantly, because their tanks are... sketchy)...anyways, i get home, acclimate, and i'm about to throw him in the QT when i notice... THIS. Its kinda on his gill plate, its kinda white-ish, but kinda pale It kinda has an odd shape, like an L or a T shape. I'm not sure if its ICH, or a Fluke, or a damaged scale? or nothing? Sigh... also never realized how hard it really is to take a picture of something THAT small.

on this picture, you can see it barely, but i just wanted to show that its not a 'flat' sore... but rather, the bump sticks out a little bit

I wouldn't worry about that unless it grows/spreads.

But, at a minimum, I would run him thru Prazi treatment while in QT.

its really hard to see, but it could be something like a parasitic amphipod or even a grain of sand stuck under a scale. keep an eye on him. it shouldnt be anything too serious.

My RG has a bump like that on his lower lip and has had it ever since I got him two months ago. This is after a full quarantine with 2 rounds of PraziPro and a full two-week treatment of Cupramine. It's likely a scar or something else congenital.
