on the right I tried shining a flashlight to better lit the eggs, but sorry for bad focus...

Aqua80, you need to be a scientist :) those are amazing pics.

do you know how long it usually takes for the eggs to hatch ?

im guessing less than a week ?

not sure about the hatching time...
I've heard from my LFS that sell this that eggs should turn white and die and that can take 4-5 days after the dip to see it...
so we will see...
another pic tomorrow !

Ah cool, another thread. So I just wanted to say while I don't have microscopes or nor did I see eggs to start with. It's now been over 2 weeks since I dipped and I have yet to find any. My efflo, and a few others that I was finding reinfected again and again are healed with no signs of any bites nor are any other pieces, basting has produced no flatworms as of yet. I'm also seeing an increase in alk/calc consuption which would normally be a good thing but I didn't expected soooo my alk crashed down hard and my tank is rather unhappy atm (but I'm fixing that). So things are looking good normally when I do this dip routine with revive I would see reinfection by now.. I know I'm not in the clear as of yet but so far so good.

Just a general question about sps dipping. Do you remove your acro crabs before you dip or just let them die?

I don't have them anymore since I'm only buying frags and the I got was lost in an interceptor tx, but yes you have to remove them if you want to keep them (which I would if I still had one...)

i to have been using this dip. i wuz worried about deepwaters. out of the 3 or 4 iv tryed a.elegans died in two hours after. all the rest fine.

I dipped a few deep waters. Everything looked perfect after the dip. However the next day one of the hawkins frags had died. I don't know if it was from the dip or all the swings between dipping, rinsing, and re-adding it to the tank

All jokes aside, I will be interested to see tonight what else you find. I hope we see the eggs change color as appossed to them hatching.

no changes again for today on day 3 :
better pic tonight, we can see the separations in the eggs (#embryos in each eggs)

hoping to see something happening in the next few days !

thank you again :)

are you using an external flash ?

seems to me that the eggs are developing ! which could potentially mean the medication didnt effect them :(

I use a led flaslight to shine on the eggs ;-)

I'm not seeing it. They look exactly the same to me. (minus photographic differences)

That's what I think too...
next pic tomorrow and will compare with march 26 pic to see differences more easily...
