RPS all-out... take 2 !

Yes that part but not the first part. I can put all corals back in display after dipping every other dip. The attraction with this dip was it was supposed to kill the eggs and it doesnt and you have to have a qt tank ot the reminence will kill inverts so why use it?

how do you know it don't kill the eggs? This thread is not over. Your just a hater and you couldn't wait for this product to fail.

Ok im a "hater" i wanted this product to work. Who didnt. Look at the pics the embryos are forming. RPS still hasnt shown there own proof on THERE product but we have someone else trying to show it. If you owned this product and you know it would change the reefing community all over the world wouldnt you have shown some type of evidence on a web site. A video, pictures something? All we have to go on is a guy writing a label on a bottle that says KILLS EGGS. Where is the proof?

Along with all your un-hatched AEFW eggs.

Isn't this the reason so many reefers have these little bastards today?

I wasn't aware anyone has proven whether or not this product does or does not kill the eggs quite yet. Did I miss that somewhere?

I honestly still don't know if I would trust anything that would claim to be so good that you would be able to skip a QT. There is gonna have to be a lot of threads showing me proof of that.

Before I even bother to buy it to try it myself.

Ok so you say no one has proven if it does or doesnt kill eggs so that means you are fine with a manufacturer putting something on the label that isnt proven? The manufacturer also says 2 weeks and you can put your corals back in bug and egg free so thats fine as well for you with no proof it kills eggs? This is the only hobby that people are fine with a manufacturers claim without proof. Its very strange.

Look back at your others post about this topic. You were already bashing the product from the start. You had already claimed the product wouldn't work before this thread was even started. You waited to chime in because you were unsure if the eggs was going to hatch. As soon as the eggs looked like maybe they might hatch you jumped right in and made your claim.

You have a personal vendetta against manufactures claiming to kill Aefw after your experience with the zeovit product.

Just give it a rest man.

I really don't have any say whether or not manufacturers put the truth on their labels.

I for one never said I was OK with it.

I don't believe a whole lot of what I read on any manufacturers labels associated with this hobby or anything else for that matter.

If the manufacturer had put on the label "if you drink this you will be able to fly", would you drink it?

Unfortunately you can pretty much put anything you want on a label. People like to call it free speech.

You could pretty much eliminate three quarters of the all reef products out there if you actually had to "prove" they do what they claim.

No comment on the product, but if you're going to use capital letters, know the difference between their and there.

OP very good documentation, and thanks again:)

:-)

eggs are still there !
Will the mille encrust the eggs before they hatch ?

I broke down today and redipped all the known of offenders and loose corals. Even sucked it up and pried a few pieces off the rocks. Found some eggs for the first time in a long time on one of the pieces that I hadn't dipped before that was on the list of corals that were always getting reinfected. I didn't want to take chances so I scraped them after I dipped them.

I did find a fair number of AEFW coming off the first batch of corals, second and third I didn't notice any so they hadn't spread as widely as I original thought.I would like to say I am fairly confident I got them all however what promoted me to do re-dip was some AEFW coming off when I basted and it's very likely the some of those that I basted escaped dipping by landing else where in the tank prior to me removing the corals to dip. Next time I'm going to dip first baste later and just go by visible signs of AEFW as my reason for dipping.

So while I can't really weigh in as to if the product kills the eggs. I can say at this point it is my favorite dip used to date as it appears to have the least impact on the corals themselves. I have corals displaying PE that were dipped 30 mins ago. While killing the eggs would be amazing and make life really easy when it comes to dealing with AEFW. To me the bigger issue with dipping my corals was the risk of dipping often out weighed the benefit vs basting.

Well after finding out that I now have aefw's I started doing some research on this dip and came across this thread. Thank you for performing this experiment. The time you are putting into this is greatly appreaciated(sp?). Personally I'm hoping that these eggs do not hatch(fingers crossed). I do plan on picking up a bottle on my way home this evening though. So I guess I'll be doing my own experiment.
