~~ rr tank pluming question~~

ok i bought this tank it has 2 hole that are 2 in wide theres 2 diff sections it had a 1 1/2 drain pipe in it. my question is i think wanted to use a Durso Standpipe, but there isnt room in the 2 chambers should i cut the silicone and take out devider glass to make it 1 chamber or i just read about a Hofer Gurgle Buster

if i make it 1 chamber i would have to make the return line water tite connection also

or i could make it have 2 drains and just run return behind the tank.

what would u do?or what should i do?

from looking at your pics it dosent look like you would have to many issues by taking out that divider glass if you want to use a durso.

and if i where you i would make the return water tight no matter what, better safe than sorry and that really just a matter of a rubber gasket that goes on the bulkhead.

and yes you can put the return up over the back, there is no prob with that and you will be capable of very high flow rates in your sump. keep in mind if you want a fuge it wont like real high flow very much at all. if you decided to go this route i would recomend using a sump setup simaler to this

ya i know it wouldnt be very hard to take it out to do a dorso or leave them and do a Hofer Gurgle Buster
