RTA split

My rta split after two years. I dont know if that is bad as I hear they split when under stress. But anyways, should I keep the second one? They have moved apart by a few inches. Can they both be happy in the same tank or does it confuse the clownfish who bounce from one to the other. The tank is 170 gallons but is only 4' long.

mine split months ago and they are right next to each other and the clown fish mostly stays with the big one but occasionally will go to the smaller one.

It should be fine. I think of it this way. Would you rather own two homes or one?(if money did not matter of course...lol)

either way, try and keep both in the tank if u can . moving it right after a split can cause excess stress. i rushed it last time mine split . i'd wait untill both splits have time to heal.

Like you'd actually be able to reach it if you wanted to???? You need ape arms to get to the bottom of that tank!

Awesome stuff. It's the same morph as the one Dave donated to the school tank, right? I wonder if will get the bubble tips like that one had.

Yes that is where it came from. No bulbs on the tips though. Will the clownfish feed both or do they chose one to care for? Aiming a jet on it could get him to move from the bottom yes?
