RTN detected; Fragging commenced...

Seeing that LFS save a lot of SPS from certain death after RTN is detected, I decided to give it a try.

I'm no expert on fragging but I asked around and found out what some LFS use to get the job done.

I purchased this cool set of clippers for only $9 at Home Depot. Here are pictures to show you my work.

I also use BSI glue which my LFS swears by, and I also believe it's the best glue out there for its price, only $9 bucks.

I like Zap gel better than the BSI, both are good but Zap is a little thicker.

Typically when fragging for RTN I do not mount up the frags the same day they are cut, I usually wait for 2-3 days before mounting them, while they recover.

It also seems to help the survival rate if I pass a frag on to someone else once they stabilize.

Phrrhus,

I also place my fragged coral in a solution of coral dip to rid any possible bacteria that may be on the base or the branches prior to placing it back in my tank.

That seems to really help it out a lot; now remember I'm very green to fraggin and your tips are great so thanks.

Hef,
You can also get the glue there at Home Depot for about $3 or $4 dollars, another reefer just let me know.
