Rtn? Sign of impending doom?

I had a green stag colony halfway rtn from the base out overnight. So I quickly fragged off any pieces that were not yet dead and superglued them into some holes In a few rocks all over the tank. The next day I had white sticks all overly tank. All my other Sps seem to be doing well, what should I be looking for?

Have you had an ALk swing recently? Some SPS are more resistant to it.

Not that I noticed. I try and keep it close to 9 but I manually dose so it drops to 8.2 then I dose to 9. I'll check it more often maybe that's it.

Is there usually more rtn after the first?

Have you introduced new coral recently? AEFW possibly? I would check and +1 on alk as well

AEFW? I just thought of something. . . and I think it makes sense. I fragged a Favia, I took a diamond blade through the rock and then used a razor to cut through the fleshy part. I let it sit in a separate container for about a half hour the last 10 minutes of that I put in some coral revive. do you think some of the slime it released may have killed the stag?
