This is a pic of my blue millie. Got it in trade at a swap in OCT. Noticed this Friday morning. Doesn't seem to be getting much worse?

I guess it looks like the orange digi in the background has it also, as I didn't notice till I seen the pic. Thanks for your help.

Looks like it could be RTN, kinda hard to tell by the pic. I would keep a very close eye on it and if the effected area starts to get bigger, I would frag it and tray and save what you can or you will most likely lose the whole thing.

Have you done anything different lately? What are your params?
What else can you tell us about the system?

I had 3x80W T5 on IC 660, 1x80 & 1x54 on workhorse 7, and 2x54W on a cheap ballast. Lost a bulb in the IC combo, and it shut that part down for 3 days. When I got the new bulbs, I switched the lighting to 3x80 on an IC 660 and 2x80 on the Workhorse 7(Thursday morning). Lighting probably playing the role of spoiler? Tank params were spot on 2 weeks ago, gonna do a 25g H2o change today, and will test before and after. Otherwise no real changes barring adding a ATO. Salinity is a bit low at 23.5, but has done that occasionally due to salt creep.
125g/ 40g breeder sump. MSX 200 > return Eheim 1262 < fuge with cheato/DSB. 3600 GPH in powerheads. Maybe 140lbs LR. Tank runs around 79. Zoas/palys + the affected. Pink millie, Tricolor millie, Green slimer, and pink birdnest appear unaffected.
I'll try to get better pic when the daylights come on.

its kinda hard to tell from the pick, but doesnt look like rtn to me. again just watch them closely and if it starts to get worse you can frag a piece off of the top at least then you may be able to save some of it.

Thanks peeps. Just isn't right. Skeleton, then all of a sudden, color and PE. Didnt think these grew from the bottom? My pink millie does, but its an encrusting type growth. Well heres the best I can do with my camera and skills. I'll have to make a decision on fragging tomorrow, going to Cali on Monday till the 28th.

frag it a good 1/2" above that recession line and re-plant it

FWIW... RTN wipes corals in hours.... STN does it slowly over time... if it is sticking around more than a day after this starts... I'd call it STN

you have any Revive or TMProCC to bathe it in for about 10 mins?

I'd vote STN as well, 'cause the only case of RTN I've had stripped the frag in a few hours from bottom to top... my only case of STN started in the crotch area of the branches on an A. polystoma and when I increased the flow to the coral, it stopped and the coral is starting to recover the areas that lost flesh

What did you use to attach the coral to the rock? I wonder if that might be part of the problem, but I don't know for sure

I've heard of people covering the exposed skeleton with super glue gel instead of going the frag it route, but I've never tried it, so can't give you any more info

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out!!
