ruby red dragonet pair?

I got a female one not too long ago. Is it best to keep them in pairs? Would it be OK to add a male later on or do I have to worry about aggression issues? Thanks in advance!

You'll have to worry more about your pod situation. Not sure of the size of your tank, but adding another pod eater will definitely strain a small tank's ability to keep up the pod population.

Thanks for the comment, Mongo. I thought about that too. I have a 65-gal tank with a sump/refugium. Do you think that can sustain them?

There aren't hard and fast rules. One must be observant and vigilant. I kept two scoots in a 10 gal for over a year and both were healthy. Male was a little aggressive with the female. That may have been a tank size issue.

To answer your other question, the one you have will be fine alone but you'll miss the interesting interactions of a pair.
