ruby reef rally velvet cure

My angel and puffer both have had really bad velvet in their gills a couple weeks now. Both are still eating well but are scratching, breathing hard and hiding a lot. My lfs says reef rally will cure it but I'm hesitant with chemicals. The questions are will reef rally help? and is it safe with eels and puffers? I would qt but the whole tank has it so I don't see any point in taking all the fish out. I see just treating the whole tank more effective.

Also, today I'm replacing my uv light which should help

You need to either move all of your fish to another tank or move all of your coral/inverts to another tank.
When dealing with ich/velvet in a reef setup, you "can't have you cake and eat it too"
