running a skimmer

how lng should i run a new skimmer? can i just run it during the day? i ask because my system is in my room

I run mine all the time figuring that the more that I run it, the more bad stuff it removes. ---Run it less and have less badies removed.

ok well, darn, i dont think it will kill me to run it like 15 hours a day do you? its only on a 17g and its rated to 125
