Running carbon for carpet cube

So I have a manifold built in to my return line and haven't used it since I stopped running my phosguard reactor. I've read some articles about anemone tanks running carbon. I'm not entirely sure why it helps I usually don't run it. I have Kent carbon and was thinking of using it in my reactor since I now have 5 carpet anemones, 1 9" purple gig, 1 5" green gig, 1 14" red/pink haddoni and 3 mini maxis. I would like to hear some thoughts on this and what benefits or potential issues it has. Also, how do you run carbon in a reactor, no tumble?

I run carbon on both of my anemone tanks. It's supposed to help with allelopathy, especially with multiple species. On one tank I used a reactor, and the other I have it in a bag in the sump. It just sits right before the return chamber, so the water passes through it.

For the reactor, I have the carbon packed up towards the top of the reactor. This is the way BRS recommends running it, and I haven't had any issues.

Hey D-nak, yeah I have a bag of carbon I placed in there today near the return. I noticed my new haddoni mouth was open. I've seen it completely closed so I know it was healthy. My gigs look fine though and ate some pe mysis. I fed him a pretty large piece of wild fresh shrimp which he ate last week but I sprayed him with a little pe mysis and he didn't bring it in which worries me a however he was sticky. I got him last Friday and he looks settled in but the mouth is concerning to me. What do you think?

I've used a GAC reactor on my system for many years. I ran a mixed reef, which included a Haddon's, a few softies, LPS, SPS, Maxima clams, etc. I ran the BRS ROX 0.8 GAC for its better adsorption qualities and it was simply a cleaner, better quality product. I use GAC for a number of reasons, i.e. prevent any allelopathy, keep the water more clear, and help prevent any unwanted odors. I would run that reactor(BRS) in reverse flow to keep it from any movement. If you've had the Kent GAC for a while, here is an article on Kent GAC, you might want to read.

oh wow isn't that wonderful lol. This is my first time running the Kent. Previosly I was running Seachem Matrix for the past 2 years but only on and off. I really never utilized carbon until it was needed since I've heard mixed reviews.
