Running multiple overflows

Hi Guys
I have decided to upgrade my existing sump (Aqueon proflex 4) to a custom made 125G sump. Currently my aqueon proflex is sitting in the cabinet under my main display. Over the years i have found even though it does the job very well its too less of a space to have a refugium and hold skimmer, return and couple of reactors.

Maintenance inside the sump under the cabinet is a big issue. Hence the jump to a 125G sump with the size of 72 x 18 x 21 inches. Since i am upgrading my sump i have decided to move it into my basement.

My display is a 150G 72" long marine land tank with dual corner overflow on each sides at the back. I also have a small frag tank which also overflows in to the same sump. Everything is plumbed together.

Since i have 3 x 1"over flows (2 from the main display + 1 from the frag tank) my question is can i connect all 3 overflows to one pipe into my sump like an manifold setup. How can i assure redundancy as the pipe will be running through the ceiling of my basement and I don't want any leaks etc. Thanks and apologies for the long post.

I have two overflows in my 120 and run them separate to the basement sump. That way if one blocks the other will still dump.
I don`t have a third but that would be ok to join with another. I`m sure others will chime in...lol

Running multiple overflows

Ok guys the other thing i would like to know is which pump to go with. As you guys know the sump will be in my basement or shall i say in my furnace room which is the floor below my main display. The furnace room is located diagonally across from my display so i have to run 18ft from the tank + 12ft extra to the sump joining them with either a 90 or 45 elbow. The head height will be from my sump to the cealing 4ft + from the floor to the aquarium 6ft so in total it will be 10ft. I am trying to stay away external pumps because of high wattage and noise. I was suggested Reef Octopus Water Blaster 16000. This pump pushes water to a head height of 16ft and a total of 4100 gph. What do you guys think?

I`ve had my sump in the basement for years but have always used an external pump. Panworld, and have never had a problem. Can`t help much with internal pump suggestions. Sorry...

You can't link your drains together, nor would you want to. The reason for the latter is because if you get a little blockage that travels down the pipes and plugs after they merge, then all your returns are blocked.

The reason for the former is because you'll never be able to run a full siphon on the drains. Because they are linked, you can't accomplish the necessary tuning in order to ruin the full siphon.

I suppose if you didn't want a full siphon (Herbie, Bean Animal, etc.) you could run all three on a durso style. I suppose that's the only option for your frag tank. Even with durso though, I'd still not recommend linking for the flood risk and also it will likely be louder.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough on pumps needing to move against such head height, so I wouldn't want to comment there. I can definitely say when it comes to doing something like that, I've seen more people run an external.

So I have decided to go with a Reeflow Hammerhead/Barracuda external pump which will be a source for the return in my display and frag tank as well as my gfo and carbon reactors. One pump does it all. Just trying to keep it simple.

I will be running Schedule 40 PVC thru my ceiling of the basement and flexible pipe at the ends.

Also since the sump is being installed in my furnace room should I worry abt any condensation?

you guys think i should get rid of the 19" baffle between the mechanical filtration and the refugium section. The purpose is to trap bubbles. Since its a 6'ft long sump you guys think i will have any issue with bubbles before it hits the return?
